My Story

Hi! My name is Steph, also known as “Nienie” (Nee-Nee), and I’m an ICU nurse living in Kirkland, WA (Greater Seattle Area). As a mom and wife, I began crafting soap during the Covid pandemic to help my teens who were battling eczema and acne. What started as a search for affordable, chemical-free skincare quickly grew into a passion for reducing plastic waste and embracing sustainability. Each batch of soap is handmade by me in small batches, using only natural, skin-loving ingredients.

Soap making quickly became more than just a necessity for me—it turned into a meditative and therapeutic escape. I love having control over every ingredient, making sure each one is gentle on your skin and kind to the environment.

The Journey

Born and raised in the Bay Area, California, and married to a husband from Hawaii, I find inspiration in the scents that reflect everything I hold dear: florals, teas, citrus, and tropical notes. After college, I settled in Washington State to raise my family, further influenced by the breathtaking natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest.

Inspired by Nature

Now, inspired by the beautiful Pacific Northwest, I carefully select nourishing oils, butters, and essential oils to create soaps that are both effective and luxurious. At Nienie Soap, I’m dedicated to offering you a self-care treat that’s simple, pure, and beautifully handcrafted. Pure Ingredients

Nienie Soap is crafted with a nourishing blend of saponified olive oil, organic coconut oil, cocoa butter, mango seed butter, and castor oil. We incorporate kaolin clay and color clay for a gentle cleanse, and each bar is scented with a thoughtful mix of essential oils (EO) and phthalate free fragrance oils (FO). Our soaps are free from harmful chemicals, ensuring a pure and luxurious skincare experience.

We are dedicated to minimizing our environmental footprint by embracing sustainable practices. Our packaging is thoughtfully designed to be recyclable, reusable, and free from plastics. Whenever possible, we also reuse past packaging and boxes to further our commitment to sustainability.
